We are working on behalf of a well-established legal consultancy specialising in NHS Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding, currently seeking a CHC Paralegal to join their expanding team. This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for candidates with a legal background who are detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about client advocacy.


Reporting to the Advocacy Team Manager, this is a fast-paced role requiring a high level of accuracy, autonomy, and written communication skills.

  • Review patient records and extract relevant medical information
  • Draft letters of representation and supporting legal documents
  • Compare clinical evidence with NHS Decision Support Tool criteria to assess eligibility for CHC funding
  • Draft agreements based on patient needs across clinical domains and key indicators
  • Scrutinise and interpret medical evidence to support funding claims
  • Handle confidential data in compliance with GDPR and internal data security policies
  • Meet KPIs by drafting at least one letter of representation per day or reviewing a letter within a one-hour time frame
  • Work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Deliver high-quality legal work within agreed deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders

  • Previous legal experience (paralegal or similar role) is essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading ability
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills
  • Experience handling confidential and sensitive information
  • High level of organisation and time management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working remotely and using digital communication tools
