We are AfterQuery, a research lab exploring the boundaries of artificial intelligence through novel datasets and experimentation. We believe strong AI is built on exceptional human-generated data. We are backed by top investors including Y Combinator and Box Group, and we support leading AI labs. This is a remote, project-based role for software engineers, with asynchronous work assigned on a project-by-project basis and an expected commitment of 10 to 20 hours per week for the projects we accept. We offer competitive compensation of $60 to $80 per hour based on experience, and the role is fully remote and asynchronous, allowing you to work on your own schedule. You will work directly with an early-stage Y Combinator-backed company on challenges that influence how frontier AI models reason about code. Work location is remote.
