All about the role

We're looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join the Country Analytics team at Just Eat Takeaway's German market, Lieferando. You'll get to know the inner workings of Lieferando by working closely with multiple departments such as marketing, sales, strategy. You'll support the running of our business by providing important insights, building data reports, and ensuring our data is reliable and accessible.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is new to the data space, and is motivated to learn and grow within the field. There will be plenty of opportunities to learn to design scalable data models, build business driven reports and communicate data insights. You will be supported by more experienced analysts and have opportunities to work with business stakeholders. This is a great role to kick start your data career and create business impact from early on.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role

• Work closely with senior analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, design data models and deliver accurate, timely insights and reports
• Write and optimise SQL queries to extract, clean, and transform data from the data warehouse
• Create and maintain reports to visualize key metrics and trends
• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting data quality issues
• Own some of current reporting cadence (e.g. monthly business review), from data refresh to reporting to our country leadership team

• Motivated and interested in data, with willingness to learn and further hone your analytics skills
• High-school diploma with an average GPA of at least 2.5 or higher, with a focus on math and/or computer science subjects (or equivalent)
• Experience in basic SQL is a must. You should be comfortable writing queries to join tables, filter data, and perform basic aggregations.
• Experience writing formulas, creating pivot tables, charts and graphs in Google sheets (or equivalent)
• Experience with Tableau or another data visualization tool (e.g., Power BI, Looker) is a plus
• Fluent in English and preferably German
